10/05 Conversations With The SDAO

Updated: Nov 7, 2025

This week, we’re joined by representatives from Duke’s Student Disability Access Office for an open discussion about what accommodations are currently available — and where students still feel gaps in support.

This meeting is meant to be a collaborative space, not a lecture. Together, we’ll:

  • Review the process for requesting and updating accommodations.

  • Talk about common challenges students face when navigating the system.

  • Share feedback directly from neurodivergent and chronically ill students.

  • Brainstorm ways Duke can make the accommodation process more responsive and less stressful.

Whether you already have accommodations, are considering applying, or simply want to make Duke more accessible, your input matters. This is a chance to be heard and help shape change.

As always our meeting will be Rueben Cooke, Rm 207, at 7PM
